I got 2 new custom hot stamped tourney discs from Innova discs. both pictures are on the tourney flyer that is attached to this email. tourney discs are for player pkgs. special custom glow in the dark CFR champion glow Wraith/ or glow champ Aviars for those first 25 that pre- register only!!! online pre-registration is up and has been up since 2 weeks ago..... go to http://www.pdgasignup.com/ to register the tourney flyer is posted at the pdga website. sent the tourney flyer/ registration page to derek on aug 19th the week of the lake walcott tourney, but he was very busy and could not post until just the week before the tamarack tourney. there is only 2 club members( derek/ brad) that have total control of the club website and everyone is at their mercy of when they want to post stuff up or not post for others to see. this should be changed to allow all tourney directors to get their own tourney info/ registration page up when they want/ need to, not just 2 club members that have busy schedules. other discs that you got to choose from are CFR champion X-Caliber, CFR champion Destroyers-you cannot buy these in the stores. these are for the player pkg., pick one with your entry. these are for golf hole sponsors/ fundraising---I have a special limited Inncolor discs( $25) that are one of a kind only star plastic... I have a few star Ontario Rocs, star Wraith, star FL firebird, star Valk, star aviars, star sidewinders. for those pros that want more added cash to the pro purse, then here is a way for the pros to help increase the cash to bump up. dont look to the amatuers to always bump up added cash to the pro division. you dont buy inncolor.... you dont get extra added cash to win!!! call me for directions to tamarack course or golfers camp- 585-7734 or go to the tamarack web page for directions to tamarack course. from hwy 55 once into donnelly take left on roseberry rd. follow the signs to tamarack go over the lake, at west mtn road take a left to tamarack 3.5 miles follow the signs.the entrance to tamarack is called village dr. go up to the main parking lot at sports dome/ crane creek market( you can get directions at sports dome if you get lost) there is a round-a-bout follow through to discovery dr( there will be a disc golf sign) that goes back into estate house/ chalets you will go under the first bridge then followed by 2 little bridges that you will go over which winds around for exactly 1 mile to disc golf course there will be signs pull over on the right. get pumped up to get tested on a championship caliber mtn. disc golf course. there will be a golfers camp just as you pass tamarack falls on west mtn. road 1/2 mile on the right side are a few turnouts into the Nat'l forest. there will be a sign or disc out on the road for the turnout you want to camp with others it has a water spicket at the entrance. I will go up late thurs./ early fri. to secure the campground. some others I have talked with are thinking of going up on thurs. they will be camping too. the campground is big and will accomodate over 100 golfers, parking will be tight, but it will be OK. if you can carpool that is better, save ga$$. this is primitive camping no official restrooms, but right across the road is US forest camp with restrooms that are about less than 250 ft away. the campgrounds around lake cascade are only for 6-8 campers per site with only 2 cars each. they could not accomodate 50-60 golfers at once. I tried and I called. more info/ call 383-0381 or cell 585-7734 walt bekker leave message with your phone and I will give you directions to campground. if you want to stay at the Tamarack Resort there is discount lodging for disc golfers. when you call to book your room you must mention reference booking code 1023Z7 for discount group rates.there may be some child care services with a hefty pricetag. if you want to camp by yourself then there are options in donnelly, and around lake cascade look into http://www.idahoparks.org/ friday nite GLOW IN THE DARK random doubles 6pm tee off. we will try to do 9 holes at sunset and 9 holes just as it gets dark. it is a timing thing with the sun/ darkness. we will play 18 holes for doubles. $5 entry for doubles. those first 25 that pre -register for the tourney have their choice of CFR Glow champions Wraith/ Avair. all others bring your glow plastic and some glow sticks for your discs. I will have glow stick for the baskets. also, bring a small headlamp or flashlight. also, Tamarack Resort can offer some deli lunches, with drink for $7-10 pre paid the morning of sat/ sun. so that the sandwiches are ready to be picked up at our 1 hour lunch break. this will keep things going faster. if you already will make or have your lunch then great. Tamarack Resort is in the news with some financial trouble, they have offered some prizes for the tourney, discount lodging for golfers, and will send out a Tamarack event announcement to all on their email list - about 2,000 people or more. they have committed to offering more next year, if I help run and promote the disc golf event with them. the future is bright and hopeful that the Tamarack Disc Golf course will be around for more years. still financial problems plague the Resort and nothing is promised, it is month to month financially. please come out and support Idahos premier Mtn. disc golf course at Tamarack ...... more golfers helps keep the course open. sat. registration will be 9-10 am, you must on the road from boise at 8am the latest to make it on time. tee off 10:30am sat 2 rounds of 18 holes. sat nite players party at the golfers campground- directions call me or see above. ace pot $2 do not forget to bring your own mosquito spray.... if you are alergic to wasp, bees, hornets sting you must have your Epipen.... there are some wasp or hornets nest in the bushes where your disc might land... there will be some medical attention on the tamarack resort but special notice--- bring water, food for your lunches/ some available at tamarack grill , extra socks, dont rely on them with your life. please, be prepared and lets not have any accidents. there will be no smoking on the course, to prevent forest fires. special thanks to all the sponsors 14th annual Gem State PDGA Disc Golf Championships sponsored by TamaracK Resort also, presented by Innova discs, with great support by DGA, Cost Plus World Market imports,Record Exchange, the River 94.9 radio station, 30th year anniversary of Flying Pie Pizza, the Dutch Goose, Idaho Interior systems- andy lyon, rick kapalko, sage williamson, Gr8tfuldiscs, Mc U sports, huk lab, camelbak, clif, discraft, gsdg, butt furr, Id.st.parks.
