Sign ups will be available Sept. 17 and 24 during regular league night at Eagle Island State Park and also Oct. 1st at Ann Morrison Park. We will be meeting in the tennis court parking area. This format requires 4 players in each pool, so only multiples of 4 will be accepted for play (i.e. 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, etc).
Gem State Disc Golfers club members only. GSDG Membership $10
GENERAL: 3 week round robin within your pool. Gross scores only, no handicaps.
Accumulate points from matches, highest points wins the pool. You only play
members of your pool. Pools will be groups of four based upon the ratings of
those who enter. All players will be ranked sequentially by rating and placed in
pools of four. There must be 4 people in each pool or else there will be no pool
and your fee will be refunded (for example; if 14 people sign up, only the first
12 people to sign up will be allowed in). First come first serve. There will be
one 9 hole match each Wednesday at 6:00pm. You are committing yourself to 3 weeks of play, substitutions, make-ups or other rescheduling allowed. Play will be held rain or shine.
ENTRY FEE: $23 one time only fee, pay when signing up. $20 goes to payout pool,
$3 goes to ace pot. Sign up WILL END at 5:50pm Oct. 1st, then pools will be
assigned and play will begin.
ACE POT: The club ace pot will be in play, whatever amount (if any) is carried
over from Summer League. The $3 collected at sign up will be added to the ace pot $1 per week (the first week $1 gets added, if no one aces, then at week 2 another dollar gets added. If someone aces, $1 is the new starting point the next week).
When October League is finished, any ace pot money remaining will carry over to
Winter Series.
PAYOUT: Payout is per pool 100% payback. 1st place $50 2nd place $30
FORMATS: You are playing against one opponent using both match play
and stroke play formats simultaneously (see scoring below).
Match Play – Players play the hole, the best score between the two
wins the hole. The player with the most holes won after 9 holes gets 1 point for the
match. If there is a tie, each player gets ½ point for the match.
Stroke Play – Each player plays the nine holes, the best total
stroke score after the 9 holes wins 1 point for the match. If the players tie then
each gets ½ point for the match.
SCORING: Each match will have 2 points available; 1 point for match
play and 1 point for stroke play. Ties in either of the formats are worth ½ point. The
player with the most points in their pool after 3 weeks is the winner of his
pool.
